Job summary

Stamford Health in Stamford, CT is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Cardiology Unit on the day shift (three 13-hour shifts, 7am–8pm) with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will provide direct patient care using the Nursing Process, supervise non‑RNs, and serve as a preceptor for new staff, while upholding our patient-centered, collaborative Planetree culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
• Commitment to professional development (6 contact hours annually).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Supervise non-RN personnel and assist staff on unit.
• Act as preceptor to new staff or students when requested.
• Provide safe, compassionate care respecting patient rights and privacy.
• Communicate with the health care team to ensure accurate patient information.
• Support performance improvement and regulatory readiness activities.
