Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care within our inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs. This role emphasizes patient safety, timely medical intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to accreditation standards in a structured treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Delaware.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience preferred, with inpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the medical provider according to protocols and standards.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and required admission documentation within established timeframes.
• Administer medications and provide education as indicated.
• Assess patient medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions or referrals.
• Monitor psychiatric symptoms, treatment response, and patient safety, reporting changes to supervisors.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR in compliance with HIPAA and accreditation standards.
