Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury-On-Chesapeake-Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Long-Term center on the Chesapeake Bay. This full-time night shift role coordinates clinical care and drives resident outcomes in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will maintain records, participate in care planning, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with families and the care team. Compensation highlights include competitive night differential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (or compact).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Proficient with software applications and systems used in The Hoy Center (Google, Microsoft, PCC, etc.).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and inform physicians of significant changes in resident health and adverse medication reactions.
• Maintain medication and resident records.
• Participate in resident assessment and care planning reviews.
• Ensure nursing service issues are reported promptly to the Team Leader.
• Coordinate care with residents and families.
• Document and lead in resident care documentation.
• Direct or assist staff in delivering care.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Support facility quality assurance programs.
• Ensure unit practices meet regulatory requirements.
• Review, transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Ensure infection control measures are followed.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain competency.
