Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12's Night Shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.), 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week). Every other weekend and two holidays per year.

This role focuses on Family-Centered care, patient advocacy, and evidence-based nursing practice. The successful candidate will hold a Ohio RN license, be eligible to obtain BSN within five years, and maintain CPR certification with ongoing certifications as required by the unit.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certification as determined by your manager.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs.
• Communicates patient care needs to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Participates in data collection/auditing and reports updates to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards.
