Job summary

The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System provides patient care using the Nursing Process in line with the MS Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. New RN grads may join the Nurse Residency Program to support transition into practice.

Requirements include NLN School of Nursing graduation and Mississippi RN licensure, plus BCLS and specialty certifications such as ACLS/TNCC/PALS. A minimum of 1 year inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN School of Nursing and hold Mississippi RN licensure.
• All RNs must complete and maintain BCLS certification.
• Specialty area certifications include ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) and related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the MS Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Assist with de-escalation training and infection control guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborate with the Patient Care Manager and supervise LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and Technicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional ethics and quality care standards.
