Houston Methodist is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse II for Labor and Delivery on the night shift. The role involves delivering direct patient care, conducting assessments, teaching patients, and maintaining medical records while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The RN II demonstrates clinical competence and may lead unit initiatives, serve as charge nurse or preceptor, and contribute to hospital-wide projects.

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Must obtain Texas RN licensure and permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing residency).
• BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS within 4 months.
• NRP certification within 4 months; FHMC fetal heart monitoring within 4 months.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care and assessments across Labor & Delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Lead unit and shared governance initiatives; act as charge nurse or preceptor as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient rights are upheld.
