Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse II for night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) to provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.

The RN II will perform assessments, assist with examinations and treatments, educate patients, and maintain accurate medical records. The role requires collaboration with physicians and the interprofessional team to achieve optimal outcomes and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• RN - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure – Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatment, and maintains medical records.
• Communicates and collaborates with physicians and interprofessional health care team to ensure quality care and patient safety.
• Participates in unit governance, serves as charge nurse or preceptor, and may contribute to service line initiatives with management.
