Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT is seeking an RN House Supervisor to provide administrative and clinical leadership during off-hours. You will ensure staffing aligns with patient acuity and oversee patient flow including admissions, transfers, and discharges.

This PRN night role requires Montana RN license or Compact, BSN, BCLS and ACLS; 4–5 years bedside nursing and 1 year supervisory experience preferred. Competitive benefits and opportunity to impact patient safety.

Qualifications

• Montana RN license or Compact with Montana endorsement.
• BSN from an accredited nursing school.
• BCLS and ACLS certification; PALS preferred.
• 4–5 years of bedside nursing; 1 year in nurse management or house supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute Patient Throughput: coordinate hospital-wide bed management and appropriate placement based on care level.
• Dynamic Staffing Management: adjust unit staffing in real-time to patient volumes and acuity.
• Clinical Escalation Lead: act as first responder for Rapid Response and Code Blues across all acute floors.
• Service Recovery: represent administration to resolve immediate concerns between patients, families and physicians.
• Regulatory Watchdog: monitor units for compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.
