Job summary

Indiana University Health Fishers Hospital is seeking an Associate Administrator (RN House Supervisor) for night operations. You will provide administrative leadership and clinical oversight during 6pm–6am shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality care and efficient patient flow across the hospital in Fishers, Indiana.

This supplemental leadership role requires a BSN and active IN RN license with 5–7 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in high-acuity environments such as ED/ICU.

Qualifications

• BSN required or relevant experience.
• Active Indiana RN license or NLC RN license.
• BSN from nationally accredited program; BLS required; ACLS may be required per unit.
• Clinical Specialty Professional Certification preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• House Supervisor or Nursing Leadership experience preferred.
• Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care, or other high-acuity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide leadership, operational oversight, and administrative support during nights, weekends, and designated supplemental shifts.
• Act as the on-site administrative representative in the absence of executive, nursing, and departmental leadership.
• Facilitate efficient patient throughput, bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow and capacity management.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department, inpatient units, procedural areas, and transfer centers to expedite patient placement and ensure timely access to care.
• Serve as a clinical and operational consultant for staff responding to emergencies, critical incidents, unusual circumstances, and complex patient care situations.
• Support staffing and resource allocation decisions to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery throughout the organization.
• Coordinate interdepartmental communication and problem resolution while reinforcing organizational policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Investigate, document, and communicate operational, patient care, and service concerns, escalating issues to appropriate leadership as needed.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
• Lead or participate in emergency preparedness, disaster response, and hospital incident command activities as required.
