Job summary

Indiana University Health’s IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, Indiana seeks an Associate Administrator (RN House Supervisor) for night shifts. You will provide administrative and clinical leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality care and coordinating hospital resources during nights, weekends, and supplemental coverage.

The role requires a BSN and active Indiana RN license with BLS; prior house supervisor or nursing leadership experience is preferred for effective patient throughput and staff

Qualifications

• BSN and active RN license in Indiana or NLC required.
• BLS certification required; additional life support certifications may be needed.
• Leadership experience in house supervisor or nursing management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide leadership during nights and supplemental shifts.
• Serve as on-site administrative representative in the absence of leadership.
• Facilitate patient throughput, bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient units, and transfer centers to expedite placement.
• Act as clinical/operational consultant for emergencies and complex care.
• Support staffing and resource allocation to ensure safe patient care.
• Coordinate interdepartmental communication and enforce policies.
• Investigate and communicate operational and care concerns to leadership.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and customer service.
• Lead or participate in emergency preparedness and incident command.
