Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 5 years in acute care hospital services.
• House supervisory or charge nurse experience required.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• BLS ACLS PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policies for patient services and safety.
• Maintains current nursing license and knowledge of care requirements for hospital patients.
• Provides leadership, mentorship, and support to the patient care team; acts as transfer/admission lead.
• Communicates departmental and hospital information to staff effectively.
• Addresses staffing needs to maintain safe patient care and distribute personnel accordingly.
• Coordinates with administration on issues arising during shifts and escalates as needed.
• Leads the hospital safety plan in absence of senior leaders and coordinates incident responses.
