Job summary

Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN House Supervisor. This role oversees daily nursing operations, ensures adequate staffing, and upholds patient safety and regulatory standards during night shifts.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee admissions and discharges, document care, administer medications, and mentor staff. A BSN preferred, current AZ RN license, and leadership experience in behavioral health are strongly

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and current RN license required.
• 1+ year experience as an RN strongly preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in any setting required.
• 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
• Some experience as a charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations of the facility and ensure adequate staffing.
• Lead delivery of behavioral health/nursing services with a positive, empathetic attitude.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and administration to meet resident needs and resolve complaints.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and nursing standards.
• Coordinate care including physician orders and diagnostics; document care and administer medications.
• Mentor and train staff; ensure staff orientation and competency; assist DON with staffing decisions.
• Provide leadership on admissions and discharges and communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians.
• Monitor patient safety and care processes; conduct rounds and audits at shift start.
