Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) for the Hospital Observation Unit on the Night shift. The role includes assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must hold a New York State RN license and preferably a BSN with at least one year of acute hospital experience. Strong documentation and infection-control practices are essential.

Formación

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least one year of previous hospital acute care experience.
• Only licensed nurse experience in an acute care facility will be counted toward RN1 experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assess the patient’s condition and nursing needs and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Develop an individualized care plan including teaching and discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
