Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is hiring a registered nurse for night shift on a full-time basis. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop SMART care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure high-quality, safe patient care. The role requires current RN licensure, hospital experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written) [Required]
• RN nursing license in good standing [Required]
• Experience in hospital/acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and exams to identify needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients and teams.
• Administer medications and treatments safely (oral, IV, IM) and perform procedures like wound care and catheterization.
• Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Advocate for patient safety, protect confidentiality, and coordinate with the health system to secure resources.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, social workers, and nurses to ensure coordinated care and clear communication.
• Document care activities accurately in EMR and update care plans as patient conditions change.
• Ensure safe patient environments and participate in bedside shift reports for continuity of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
