Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for night shifts. The RN will deliver patient-centered care, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. Candidates must hold an RN license in the state or be eligible for a compact license and have current BLS certification.

Education may be ADN, Diploma, or BSN. Additional certifications may be required depending on department and specialty area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice (or eligible compact RN license).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
