Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Orange, FL, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for full‑time night/weekend shifts in an acute care setting. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer meds, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure high‑quality care. The role requires an RN license, BLS, and 1+ year in acute care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated nursing care knowledge and standards.

• English fluency in reading, speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities and outcomes accurately.

• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise and delegate care as needed to maintain quality.
