Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift to deliver high-quality patient care. The role involves assessing patients, developing care plans, administering meds, educating families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with BLS CPR, an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), and has 1+ year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.
• English fluency and communication skills required.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care and communication.
• Document patient information, care activities and outcomes accurately.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance in the unit.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and provide interventions.
