Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool on a full-time night shift. The role involves applying the nursing process, teaching patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.

Expectations include adherence to Bay Area Hospital policies, documentation in EMR, and providing high-quality patient care across units. Oregon RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months are required, with union affiliation ONA.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon (required)
• BLS required
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Workplace violence training by deadline

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform physical and psychosocial assessments
• Establish nursing diagnoses with interdisciplinary team
• Plan and update care per diagnoses
• Provide individualized care including ADLs, meds, wound care, pain management
• Administer medications and manage equipment
• Educate patients and families about illness, tests, meds, and wellness
• Document care and teaching in EMR; maintain accuracy and timeliness
• Coordinate care and communicate patient status among team
