Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift in Florida. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer meds, supervise staff, and educate patients and families as part of a faith-based health system.

You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, monitor labs, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with current Florida license (or eligible).
• 1+ year nursing experience in acute hospital settings preferred.
• Ability to perform and document assessments and care plans.
• Ability to administer medications accurately and monitor effects.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and ensure policy adherence.
• Provide patient and family education on plan of care and meds.
• Support physicians with bedside procedures and tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the team.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor responses.
• Supervise nursing personnel to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and meds.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and tests.
• Monitor lab results and report abnormalities.
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and infection control.
• Document care accurately in medical records.
• Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based projects.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate care across units.
