Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital seeks an experienced RN to join the float pool, providing skilled nursing care across Medical/Surgical, Progressive Care, and limited ICU areas. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients with a family-centered approach.

The role requires an ADN/ diploma with ACEN accreditation, a BSN within 5 years for GN or RN with <1 year, NCLEX, 2 years acute care experience, BLS, and competency in floating; on-site night shifts, 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• ACEN-accredited nursing program required.
• BSN must be completed within 5 years for GN or RN with <1 year experience.
• Must pass NCLEX to practice in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• Competency testing for floating areas; MI RN license required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Float to Medical/Surgical, Progressive Care, and select ICU areas as needed.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and care teams to plan, implement, and discharge care.
• Document teaching and education in the health record.
