Job summary

Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby Unit to provide comprehensive postpartum and newborn care.

The RN will use independent judgment, follow the nursing process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning and patient education. Shift: night, full-time, 7pm–7:30am, with every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan or able to obtain within stated timeframe.
• Current BLS certification; knowledge of postpartum and newborn care.
• Ability to apply nursing process and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about medications, safety, and self-care.
• Monitor vitals, administer treatments, and document care per policy.
