Inova Alexandria Hospital in Northern Virginia is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse Fellow for the Medical/Surgical Unit to advance clinical expertise under experienced mentorship. The RN Fellow will perform focused assessments, deliver patient care, and participate in rounds while completing didactic and simulation-based learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• RN license or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and follow care plans under supervision of an experienced RN.
• Organize and deliver patient care using the Nursing Practice Model to achieve outcomes.
• Document care activities accurately and maintain patient privacy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
• Support learning sessions and complete classroom, simulation and readings on time.
