Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a registered nurse for the Women’s Pavilion (Family Center Care Unit). The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for postpartum, antepartum, and simple gynecologic patients, including medication administration and charge nurse duties as assigned.

The unit emphasizes safe, efficient, compassionate perioperative and postoperative management. New graduates are welcome to apply, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in North Carolina or Compact state
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current RN licensure in NC or Compact state required
• English proficiency in reading/writing/speaking
• 1–2 years of related clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs using assessment information
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications as ordered by physician
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain accurate patient care records
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health-system staff
• Support cultural and spiritual needs within medical regimens
• Assist in cost containment and accurate charging for services
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance
