• Assesses the patient and identifies care needs.

• Functions as charge nurse as assigned.
• Maintains patient care records.
• Administers medication as ordered by physician.
• Recognizes life threatening situations and responds appropriately.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with Health System and medical staff.
• Monitors quality of care using outcome indicators.
• Participates in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Adjusts care for age-specific needs and cultural/spiritual considerations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
