Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Family Birthplace team. You will care for mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and family-centered care.

The role offers night shifts (7pm–7am) with 36 hours per week, full benefits starting day one, and opportunities for professional growth within Mercy's mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or Compact State RN License.
• Ability to meet all Oklahoma State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Completion of Mercy-required competencies, education, and certifications within designated timeframes.
• BLS and other required certifications as assigned by the department.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth experience.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, lactation consultants, and other healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Advocate for patient safety, patient rights, and a positive birth experience.
