Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department boarder unit on the night shift. The role involves caring for patients in the ED awaiting inpatient beds, in a Level 1 trauma center environment, with collaborative, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have Massachusetts RN licensure and at least 1 year in med/surg/telemetry; ER experience is preferred. Eligible for shift differentials and comprehensive benefits, with robust orientation and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg/tele experience; ER experience preferred.
• Utilize Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care.
• Perform patient assessments and treatments per policy/procedure.
• Discharge teaching and updating patient records.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by MGH.
• Communicate with healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ED boarders during night shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Ensure proper documentation and handoffs between shifts.
• Support patient and family education and discharge planning.
