Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 36-hour variable night schedule at 75 Francis Street, Boston.

The RN will plan and provide patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care, demonstrating initiative and clinical skill for patients with complex needs. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Massachusetts RN licensure, with 2+ years of ER experience and required ACLS/BLS and TNCC certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• 2+ Years RN experience required.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• TNCC required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
• Sets priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.
• Maintain continuity through clear and concise communication.
• Develops a comprehensive discharge plan utilizing appropriate resources and referrals including community resources.
• Documents patient care in a manner that is clear, complete, concise and in compliance with nursing documentation standards.
