Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking experienced Inpatient Nurses to care for patients boarding in the Emergency Department while they await an inpatient bed in Boston, MA. This role is ideal for candidates who are patient- and family-focused, possess strong clinical knowledge, and thrive in a dynamic Level 1 trauma center environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of med/surg/telemetry experience; ER experience preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care delivery and management.
• Perform patient assessments and treatments per policy.
• Provide discharge teaching.
• Update patient records.
• Communicate with healthcare team members.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by MGH.
