Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is seeking a Night Shift RN (7pm–7am) to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Critical Care/Telemetry units. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under supervision of Nurse Manager and Director, delegating tasks and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include at least 2 years of clinical RN experience, Virginia RN license, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years clinical Registered Nurse (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Experience as a Registered Nurse (Preferred).
• Active RN license in Virginia (Required).
• CPR/BLS certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop care plans within the Critical Care/Telemetry setting.
• Partner with patients and families to implement and evaluate plans of care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate safe patient transitions and ensure quality outcomes per standards.
• Educate patients and families, document education and discharge needs.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks, respond to emergencies, and maintain regulatory documentation.
