Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Critical Care/Telemetry to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the total nursing care of assigned patients across Riverside Health System settings.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supervise support staff, educate patients and families, and ensure safe transitions with evidence-based practices and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Registered Nurse license (Virginia required)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience in healthcare/nursing roles preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs following unit competencies
• Partner with patients and families to develop and evaluate care plans
• Incorporate evidence-based standards of practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Facilitate safe patient transitions to next care setting
• Demonstrate urgency to support patient throughput and ethical care
• Educate patient/family and ensure comprehension of discharge instructions
• Complete clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards
