Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Central Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool. This non-exempt role offers a night shift schedule (7p-7a) with 12-hour shifts and every fourth weekend, aiming to support patient care from admission to discharge.

We require MA nursing licensure, BLS, and prefer a BSN. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for external hires; final offers depend on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delivers medications and supports physician with treatments and tests as required.
• Documents patient care per standard procedures.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure quality care.
