Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa, is seeking a registered nurse to deliver medical and surgical care using the nursing process. The role collaborates with therapy teams and the MCRHC Provider group, with float shifts to ER and Outpatient Treatment Center as directed.

This .9 FTE night position runs 7pm–7am, weekends and holidays, starting pay $32.49/hr (ADN) or $33.49/hr (BSN), increasing with experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa.
• Maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider.
• ER - ACLS, TNCC, and PALS required
• Med/Surg/OTC - ACLS and PALS required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge and support for the principles of customer relations in daily activities with others.
• Demonstrates nursing competency to provide care within the assigned unit to the population described in the scope of care.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Completion of a telemetry course within one year of hire.
• Must be able to obtain Mandatory Reporting for both Child and Dependent Abuse.

Responsibilities

• Accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care through the nursing process ensuring safety, quality, and continuity of care is maintained.
• Provides nursing care for medical and surgical patients as assigned, while maintaining professional nursing standards.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and ancillary personnel to include exercising independent judgment in directing the work of others.
• Works closely with various therapies to provide multidisciplinary care to patients.
• Works collaboratively with the MCRHC Provider team to ensure optimal care is delivered.
