Armor Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Dekalb County Jail team in Decatur, GA, delivering holistic nursing care in a correctional setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary health team.

Qualifications

Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Current CPR certificate.
Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; obtain health history and write admission assessment.
Document and communicate triage decisions to the health care provider during custody and discharge.
Develop individual nursing care plans with healthcare providers.
Implement medical care plans, including diagnostic tests and EKGs, per physician orders.
Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; implement nutrition and therapeutic diets.
Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
