Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan Society Canton is responsible for using the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, collaborating with families and the inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.

You will coordinate care, perform assessments, and support residents across all phases of health needs. The role may include acting as charge nurse and delegating tasks to staff, with emphasis on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license where practice occurs; multistate licensure acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care for residents.
• Collaborates with residents and families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinates care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
