Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical Surgical Care Unit on the night shift. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care under the Nurse Manager, following unit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include developing and updating care plans, communicating with physicians, coordinating discharge planning, and ensuring patient safety. Ohio RN licensure and BLS within 90 days are required; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• Ohio RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment and documents appropriately.
• Develops and updates plan of care based on assessment.
• Communicates andCollaborates with physicians and health team in plan of care.
• Initiates, manages, and participates in discharge planning.
• Delivers and coordinates patient care; delegates as appropriate.
• Facilitates patient and family teaching; hourly rounding participation.
