Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg to provide general nursing care in a 24/7/365 setting. The RN is accountable for practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs).

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within a multidisciplinary team and a commitment to safety and quality in a High Reliability Organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred after 5 years of employment.
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio (RN).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates response to interventions and revises plan of care.
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement to meet clinical quality targets.
• Operations - Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as an HRO.
