Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an RN for a night shift on a 21-bed unit providing care to pediatric patients with medical and mental health needs. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality and safety through the episode of care.

Requirements include an Ohio RN license and a BSN or path to BSN within five years, along with CPR certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications as directed by management.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as required by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assess individualized patient needs and communicate care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators and allied health staff.
• Plan, implement, educate and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilize Therapeutic Communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Participate in workplace community, data collection or auditing, quality improvement, and report updates to staff.
