Job summary

Nationwide Children\'s Hospital Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for night shift coverage 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend schedule. The role emphasizes family-centered nursing care, safety, and advocacy across an episode of care.

Required: RN licensure in Ohio, a BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, and current CPR certification. Willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other required certifications as determined by the manager.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other required certifications as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs.
• Communicates patient care needs and priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and allied health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Uses Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Documents according to organizational standards and policies.
