Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas RN license; BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by unit.
• RN II = 1–3 years; RN III = 3–10 years; RN IV = 10+ years.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve outcomes.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement, and client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies; ensures quality of service.
• Serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
