Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Med Surg leadership. You will guide clinical and support staff, coordinate patient flow, and ensure high-quality care while adhering to department policies.

You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes, while collaborating with unit leadership and other departments. A BSN or progress toward BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state; licensure to be obtained within 6 months if required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health Related Field; or Associate Degree with BSN plan within 2 years of hire and complete BSN within 5 years
• Typically requires several years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provides work direction to staff and coordinates resources for smooth patient flow.
• Performs nursing process to deliver safe, quality patient care and assesses patient needs.
• Advances communication among patients, families, and hospital staff to optimize collaboration.
