Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for the Med Surg Department to lead daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care. The ANM will partner with the manager to align department goals with the organization’s mission and strategic plan.

The role requires a nursing degree, Maryland RN license, and BLS certification, plus 2 years in a related department with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. Night shift, full-time, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

Nursing degree required; Baccalaureate preferred.
Maryland RN license active and in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

Ensures delivery of quality department/clinical services per standards.
Assists Manager with department operations and budget accountability.
Collaborates with physicians and health care team for age-appropriate patient care.
Promotes teamwork and staff development within the department.
Develops evidence-based standards of care and ensures adherence.
