Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during night shifts. The RN will function as charge nurse when assigned and remains accountable for all assigned patients, coordinating care with the healthcare team.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in nursing, Florida licensure or eligibility, and BLS; ACLS/PALS as required. BSN preferred and opportunities for certification are noted.

Qualifications

• Active Florida nursing license or eligibility.
• BLS certification required on first day of employment.
• ACLS/PALS requirements as specified by department.
• Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care using the nursing process and established standards.
• Performs all responsibilities associated with the staff nurse role.
• Functions as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Maintains accountability for assigned patients.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to others while retaining responsibility for patient care.
• Delivers care appropriate to each patient’s age and developmental needs.
