Job summary

The RN maintains Meditech documentation, adheres to hospital policies, and ensures a high standard of patient safety and experience. Ohio licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license or WV license if working in WV.
• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
• Performs hourly rounding.
• Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments per nursing policy.
• Develops a plan of care and teaching plan based on assessed needs of patient and family.
• Coordinates teaching for discharge preparation and documents appropriately.
• Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech.
• Collaborates with team members to identify patient needs.
• Communicates changes in patient conditions to physician via SBAR.
• Manages patient care and delegates according to patient needs.
