Job summary

UC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN-CNI) for the Cardiovascular Med Surg Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This part-time night position supports a 28-bed unit delivering high-quality care based on assessed needs and established standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Ohio RN license required; ACLS and BLS may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on the cardiovascular med-surg unit including post-op and heart failure patients.
• Coordinate with care team to develop and revise patient care plans within unit standards.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and staff; prioritize needs accordingly.
• Greet and educate patients and families about treatment plans and expectations.
• Respond to diverse patient needs related to behavioral health, culture, and religion.
• Demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and teamwork in daily rounds and tasks.
• Document nursing processes accurately per hospital policy and procedures.
• Mentor new staff and support float pool during shifts.
