Job summary

Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport, LA is seeking a dynamic House Supervisor, RN to lead nursing care on the unit for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric or emotional disorders. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes adequate staffing, effective communication with physicians, budget-aware FTE management, and adherence to risk management and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing; RN required. Additional Requirements: CPR certification, CPI and Verbal De-Escalation Certifications provided by Brentwood Hopsital.
• Hours: Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Ensures adequate staffing on the unit to meet patient demand and adjusts accordingly as needed.
• Communicates effectively with physicians and resolves unit issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manages unit FTEs and overtime with regard to budget; understands financial impact to facility goals.
• Exemplary communication skills.
• Understands, follows, and supports risk management and infection control policies and procedures.
• Intervenes appropriately in crisis situations.
