Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift (7p-7a, 3-12hr shifts/week with EOW rotation). The RN leads milieu management and directs patient care activities for nursing staff, ensuring standards of practice per facility policies and regulatory bodies.

The role requires administering medications safely, documenting patient progress, and maintaining licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary leadership accountability for milieu management and directing patient care activities of nursing staff.
• Maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and external bodies.
• Assesses patients using the nursing process to formulate individualized plans of care, implements interventions and evaluates outcomes.
• Administers medications as prescribed safely and provides education on medications.
• Documents care, progress and responses to interventions in medical records accurately and concisely.
• Follows up on client care responsibilities and communicates needs to staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Implements staff assignments and delegates duties, advocating for patient safety.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to meet needs of the facility, patient population and staff, supporting evidence-based practice.
• Floats among clinical services and performs other duties as assigned.
