Safe Harbor Recovery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts in Portsmouth, Virginia. The RN will supervise care by LPNs and CNAs, develop and evaluate individualized plans of care, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting orders, and coordinating care. Licensure in RN, preferably psychiatric nursing, is required; driver’s license also required where applicable.

Competenze

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.

Mansioni

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and develops nursing care plans.
• Maintains medical records and educates clients and families about health conditions.
• Administers medications per orders and monitors responses.
• Transcribes and reviews physician orders ensuring accuracy and legibility.
• Communicates with treatment team about client status and changes in condition.
• Gives thorough report to oncoming staff and supervisor.
• Provides coverage in emergency services as needed.
