Job summary

Lakeview Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week temporary night assignment at a fixed rate of $55 per hour. This full-time 3x12hr schedule rotates weekends and is not benefits-eligible. Candidates must have at least one year of behavioral health nursing experience and be available for night shifts.

This is a direct temporary opportunity (not agency). Temporary employees may convert to a regular full-time position if offered.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state.
• One year of nursing experience; behavioral/psychiatric experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients/families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care within standards of nursing practice and facility policies.
• Ensure physician orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Assess patients’ status continuously and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status and emergencies.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff during inpatient treatment.
