Job summary

Harbor Oaks Hospital in New Baltimore, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary 13-week assignment. The role offers a fixed rate of $65 per hour, not benefits-eligible, with night shift 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Requirements include at least one year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience, RN licensure in the state, and CPR + de-escalation/restraint certification. Travel stipends are not provided, and current Acadia Healthcare employees are not eligible for this temporary

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license as required by the state of employment or eligibility to practice.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use nursing experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required per state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about conditions.
• Administer medications per orders and document appropriately.
• Ensure initial nursing treatment plans are completed on admission and tailored to assessed needs.
• Utilize universal precautions in direct patient care.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
