Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama seeks an RN to deliver nursing care using the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness. You will work with patients, families, and the health care team to provide safe, effective care during the 7 p.m.–7 a.m. shift, under physician and dentist supervision where applicable.

A nursing program graduate is required; a BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days. Depending on unit, ACLS/PALS may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• RN license in Alabama required or eligible.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team to provide safe, cost-effective care.
• Utilize critical thinking for data gathering, assessment, and evaluation of health problems.
